Education

Vision

To establish a modern and nimble “plug-and-play” education and training platform to fit individual learner needs at all stages of their careers.

The platform will include non-credit micro-credentials and micro-certificates, that can be taken individually or stacked into certificates, diplomas and credit programs targeting learners at all stages of their careers, from undergraduates, graduates, post-doctoral fellows, to faculty members, and industry and health professionals. The courses and programs will centre around high-demand skills and abilities for the translational medicine ecosystem to enable and lift bio-innovation in BC:

  • Core modules in general translational skills, like project management and communication;
  • Focus modules in specific high-demand areas, like regulatory affairs and data science;
  • Certificates and diplomas for learners looking to move into health management in areas like regulatory or data science, including hands-on industry experience;
  • Graduate degrees in strategic focus areas, like regulatory science.

Mission

Guided by the ATM Education Advisory Council, we are taking a step-wise approach to establishing the ATM Education platform, building up from webinars and workshops to micro-credentials, and certificates to credit programs and degrees.  With our academic and industry partners, we will develop cross-cutting modules and expand on existing programs to support talent development in BC.
