Hosted by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), this event will include a discussion regarding AI technologies used for medical purposes, specifically focused on the current practices and issues surrounding safety considerations. The discussion will include the perspectives of regulatory experts, policymakers, scientists and NEJM AI editors. This dialogue will highlight ways in which regulatory requirements can maintain safety standards for such AI but also enable and accelerate its use to benefit patients, and predictions of potential roadblocks for this to occur.
