adMare Academy Launches Cohort II of the BioInnovation Scientist (BIS) Program for Fall 2023

Earlier in 2023, the inaugural BIS Program (adMare BioInnovation Scientist Program: Foundations) was launched. Now, adMare BioInnovations is launching its second cohort, with adMare BioInnovation Scientist BIS Program: Foundations Cohort II. Topics include intellectual property, the high-risk/high-reward nature of the industry, and the importance of incorporating inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility principles into therapeutics development.

Format of the adMare BioInnovation Scientist (BIS) Program: Foundations Cohort II:

Length:

• 8 weeks (16 October 2023 to 8 December 2023)
• 4-8 hours per week

Location: Online

Structure:

• Program Starts: Monday 16 October 2023

• • Course 1: Introduction to the Life Sciences Industry
    • 1 week

• • Course 2: Introduction to Drug Discovery
    • 2 weeks
    • Live Webinar: Thursday 2 November 2023 | 2 pm PT (5 pm ET)

• • Course 3: Introduction to Preclinical and Clinical Development
    • 2 weeks
    • Live Webinar: Thursday 16 November 2023 | 2 pm PT (5 pm ET)

• • Course 4: Introduction to Therapeutics Commercialization
    • 3 weeks
    • Live Webinar: Thursday 30 November 2023 | 2 pm PT (5 pm ET)

• Program Closes: Friday 8 December 2023

Applicant Eligibility:

• Possesses at least a BSc. or equivalent degree.
• Either newly employed in industry or working/training in academia, with a view to transition into commercial organizations.
• Resides in Canada.
