Nominations are open for the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) Awards 2024.

The are 18 categories for the 2024 AFMC Awards, including 2 new awards:

  • Charles Boelen International Social Accountability Award
  • Clinical Teacher Award
  • Clinician-Scientist Award
  • Gold Humanism Award and Lecture
  • Indigenous Health Advocacy Lifetime Contribution Award (New!)
  • Indigenous Health Advocacy Emerging Leader Award (New!)
  • Indigenous Health Advocacy Learner Award
  • John Ruedy Award for Innovation in Medical Education
  • John Ruedy Award for Excellence in Graduate Health professions Education Scholarship
  • Learner Changemaker Awards
  • May Cohen Equity, Diversity and Gender Award

Nomination Deadline: 15 September 2023

  • The nomination for all awards, with the exception of the Indigenous Health Advocacy Awards, must be made by a letter of nomination by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Each Faculty may nominate one nominee for each award.
  • Completed award nomination packages should be sent to fom.recognition@ubc.ca for review and internal adjudication. The UBC FoM announcement can be found here.
